About the Orchestra

The British Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the UK’s premier orchestras enjoying long standing relationships with major international artists and promoters.

From a string quartet for Rod Stewart to a 76 piece orchestra for Andrea Bocceli, the BPO has supplied virtually every combination of musician for every musical genre.

In 2006 the orchestra accompanied Dame Shirley Bassey on her UK tour and again at Glastonbury 2007.

The orchestra also featured in the acclaimed Marks & Spencer TV advertising campaign Christmas 2006.

The orchestra regularly performs outdoor classical concerts at major venues including National Trust properties featuring many of the UK’s favourite artists including Amici Forever, Katherine Jenkins and the Opera Babes.

2008 highlights included Mozart and Tchaikovsky Galas and two concerts in Abu Dhabi for the ADMAF (Abu Dhabi Music & Arts Foundation) under the patronage of HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

Annually since 2006 the string section of the orchestra has performed for the UK stadium tour of ‘The War Of The Worlds’. Visit the official War of the Worlds website.

The orchestra has played at all of the UK’s premier venues including the Royal Albert Hall London, Royal Festival Hall London, Wembley Arena London, NEC Birmingham, SECC Glasgow, and MEN Manchester to audiences in excess of 10,000.

The Orchestra has wide experience both in live and recording environments.

The BPO also provides a varied range of musical/multimedia packages for corporate events.
